How Much Flooring Do I Need?
- Start by measuring the width and length of your room and multiplying your results to get the total surface area.
- If your floor space is not a perfect rectangle, map it out on paper, break it down into rectangular sections, and add up the individual results.
- Don't forget to add a waste factor of 5-10% to account for cutting waste, measuring mistakes, and other factors (you will need a higher waste factor for diagonal or herringbone installation).
